Mandala and Chakras 30hr Teacher Training

WITH MALIN TENNET

30 Hour Teacher Training from 25-28 May 2023
This training teaches the fundamentals of Mandala Vinyasa sequencing.

The ancients believed the World to be composed of 4 basic elements – Fire, Water, Air, and Earth. These were considered the critical energy forces that sustained all life. All of these elements are integral parts of matter or the physical universe, and the human body is a physical creation existing in the material realm. Therefore, the human beings were seen to be made of and governed by the four elements. Maintaining a balance between these elements was advocated to ensure physical as well as psychological well-being.

The four elements are powerful guides for how we can live our lives in more alignment with nature and our own unique essence. The expansive flowing movements of the practice allows us to open up our awareness to a deeper understanding of our own intrinsic nature.

The elements are present in all that we do, all that we see, hear, feel and taste...they are present in every season, hour and minute of our day. When practicing Mandala we embody the presence of the elements through purposefully created sequences; With Air we invite more spaciousness into our being. Fire invites us to expand into more vibrancy. We learn to become more fluid with water. The earth reminds us to live fully in our bodies.

WHAT WILL YOU WALK AWAY WITH?

An understanding of the 4 basic Mandala Sequences that includes:

  • Connecting to the practice: we start our practice with Yin Yoga to open the body and lean into the moving Mandala practice.

  • Sun Salutes / Warm Up: this is where we build the energy, create flow and move around our mat.

  • Standing / Seated: adding asanas to strengthen our intention, moving in a creative, flowing and intuitive way. Can be done as a Mandala or as a more linear segment.

  • Closing Sequences: bringing the practice to its completion using one of the following approaches: yin yoga, pranayama or meditation

  • Inspiration to create your own Mandala sequences.

  • An understanding of Chakra Theory and how the Chakras influence us on a daily basis.

FACILITATOR

MALIN TENNET
Since my first 200 hour TTC in 2015 I have travelled the world to discover more about the life changing practice of yoga and to learn more about myself.

I have worked alongside my teachers on a great number of trainings and also furthered my own discovery and growth through Vipassana meditation. My curiosity on what is possible to discover about oneself, together with the ancient and modern teachings of yoga brought me in to the field of Transpersonal Coaching Psychology. A style of coaching that reaches beyond our person and allows us to discover that we are so much more than we think we are.

I like to incorporate both the powerful physical practice of yoga and the meditative restorative practice of yin yoga and meditation into my teachings, and I am truly grateful that I get to share my passion for yoga and its benefits with people every day. My personal practice brings me physical, mental and emotional strength, and my aim as a teacher is to empower my students to empower themselves, to teach to the individual rather than to an asana.

Instead of thinking "how can I force my body into this pose" my wish is to teach to the individual experience of "how can this person's body express this pose right now?" Anyone can work on a pose as long as it is modified and broken down to suit their body.

TESTIMONIALS:

“I decided to take Mandala training with Malin a few months after I graduated from my 200 hours as I wanted to explore ways of being more creative when teaching yoga. It did not disappoint: I was able to learn how to embed yin, mandala and vinyasa when creating a sequence! I found out wonderful things about chakras and how to use that information as a yoga teacher. Malin is the most supportive and patient teacher and learning from her is one of the highlights of my yoga journey. I highly recommend this training and would do it again in a heartbeat!” ~ Katerina

“Such an incredible training and I am so glad that I was part of it. I can't wait to explore more of this incredible Mandala training in my teaching. This course has been truly wonderful, thank you Malin Tennent and House of Yoga for creating something special.💛 Always a student..” ~ Veronika
