YOGA FOR ATHLETES: TRAIN YOUR MIND FIRST
Far more than getting a stretch in, this workshop introduces how the more esoteric elements of a yoga practice can help develop and advance even the fittest people. We explore cases where mindfulness and body awareness helps athletes, with great success, to improve their performance and prevent injury. What does it mean to "listen to your body" and avoid the trappings of the ego. I have personally come from being someone looking for yoga to simply stretch my body and found so much more than that! My practice has helped me achieve great feats of endurance including Ultra marathons :) We'll cover great yoga postures for stretching and recovery as well as useful pranayama and meditation techniques.
